what a life.

i have started writing six different blog posts this week but haven't finished any of them.

it's difficult to keep up with this when my computer wont allow me to upload anymore photos on it.

it also doesn't help that ryan has been working from the early am to the late pm almost every night so i'm just with the babe and the housework all day.

however,

the weather is incredible.

today, it's supposed to be in the upper 80's and we're going to venture to our cold apartment pool after lunch.

but here is what we have been up to:

elliot and i went over to santa cruz after a boot camp class the other day with some of the moms.

he was so excited to be there.

and it was one of the best days i've had with him.

he played with other babies, didn't try to eat sand and laughed so hard when i would dip his feet in the freezing creek water.

he was perfect.

i then took him downtown (much less crowded on the weekdays, found parking almost immediately...which still had an hour on the meter) and we walked around a bit and got coffee.  occasionally i would look at that boy i was holding to see him staring and smiling at me.

pretty much telling me what a great day he was having.

he passed out in the car and we spent the rest of the day laying around and laughing together.

and then there was a moment yesterday, when he was so tired but wouldn't sleep in his crib.

i went into his room (which when the sound machine is going, the black out shade shut and the fan blowing...i almost fall asleep immediately)...picked him up and he laid on my chest in the rocking chair until we both fell asleep, sweaty and smelling like sunshine.

this summer will be a lot of fun.

he is already enjoying it so much already.

and i know pretty soon he will be at an age where his main goal every day, is to have fun.

ohhh...what a life.
